When i did the ski tour to Mont de l’Etoile i had a nice view to the classic route of Pointe de la Vouasson, it seemed easy and without any avalanche risk.
I started again at La Gouille, until the region of the Aiguilles Rouges hut the path is the same as the day i went to Mont de l’Etoile, from that point i continued West to join the Vouasson glacier and 20 Minutes later the summit of Pointe de la Vouasson, at almost 3500m, i took 3h20m from the parking until reach the summit, which is a nice time for 1660m of height gain.
It was an awesome day, with fresh snow everywhere, at the summit no jacket needed, too hot for 3500m of altitude, i stay at the summit about one hour, the Panorama was colossal, it’s an outstanding summit, already at a nice altitude and with zero technical difficulty.
For the descent the snow was top quality until the region of the Aiguilles Rouges hut, after that was already transformed, totally spring conditions.
45 minutes after leaving the summit i joined the parking with a big big banana smile!
