video of the day

To start this third day we went to the visitors centre to get a refund of the reservations of the campsites, there were was a stage of the Routeburn track(New Zealand Great tracks) that was still possible to do, from The Divide until the Lake Mackenzie Hut, so we went north again in the direction of the Milford Sound, stopped at the parking of The Divide, there was a lot of people in the area, it’s true that is a very beautiful zone, the beginning of the Routeburn is a bit schocking, an amazing forest to start, the path climbs during the first 45 minutes and then it descends to Howden hut to climb again in a beatiful scenario, magical forest, followed by an impressive waterfall and some beautiful views while we avance in a sort of balcony, then the path enters again in a forest, loses some altitude until reaching Lake Mackenzie, and their huts. We ate our sandwich near the lake and 20 Minutes later we started the return by the same path in a total of 6h45m to do the 24kms(2 ways), after finishing the hike we went sleep to Cascade creek, beatiful place, also works with the system of self payment.
